git-buildpackage software package provides Suite to help with Debian packages in Git repositories, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install git-buildpackage
git-buildpackage is installed in your system.
Make ensure the git-buildpackage package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep git-buildpackage *
You will get with git-buildpackage package name, version, architecture and description in a table
